England manager Thomas Tuchel explained why there was no place in the squad for Cole Palmer, who is enjoying a good season with Chelsea.

"First of all, I have to talk about a player who isn’t here. He missed too many opportunities to convince me.

Before that, we had a very long training camp—two and a half weeks. The guys created something very important and special at the camp.

That’s why I trust them. If you’re at the camp, it’s your chance to stand out,” said T. Tuchel.

Talents such as Josh King and Jobe Bellingham were included in the squad.
