Paulo Fonseca is returning to work in Portugal after a 10-year absence.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that the 53-year-old specialist will become the new coach of “Sporting.”
This Sunday, P. Fonseca said goodbye to “Lyon,” which he had coached for almost two years. After the final whistle against “Angers,” the Portuguese manager burst into tears.
In the Portuguese manager’s final match in charge, “Lyon” won 2-0.
“Sporting” will part ways with Rui Borges.
