The love story of Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez began in 2017 in Madrid, when the Portuguese football star visited a luxury Gucci store where Georgina was working as a sales assistant at the time.

In the Netflix documentary series I Am Georgina, the couple revealed interesting details about the first months of their relationship.

Georgina recalled that Ronaldo would often come to pick her up from work in luxury cars, and one of his appearances particularly surprised her colleagues.

"He would often come to pick me up after work. I remember that one time he arrived in a Bugatti. My colleagues simply went crazy.

They would take buses to work, while I left in a Bugatti. People couldn’t believe it,” Georgina recounted.

"Knowing what cars I had in my garage, I couldn’t exactly arrive in a taxi,” Ronaldo said with a smile.

The Portuguese footballer later admitted that at first he did not expect their acquaintance to develop into such a strong relationship.

"To be honest, I didn’t expect it. However, after some time I realized that she was the woman of my life,” Ronaldo said.
