TransInvest saved themselves against Suvalkija

In the 12th round of the TOPLYGA, the ambitious teams "TransINVEST" and "Sūduva" faced off. In the end, the teams that scored one goal each ended in a draw with a score of 1:1 (0:0).

After 20 minutes, the Marijampolė team created the first opportunity to score – Faustas Steponavičius misled the opponent, but Mantas Bertašius caught the ball that flew towards the near corner of the goal. A little later, Domantas Šluta sent the ball over the goal with a header.

As the half approached its end, Edvinas Kloniūnas dangerously shot from a set piece, but I. Plūkas played successfully. Soon after, on the other side of the field, Yusuke Omori dangerously struck above the goal.

At the end of the second half, the teams exchanged goals – taking advantage of a scramble in the penalty area, Lucky Tomas put the Marijampolė team ahead. Already during the referee's added time, the home team's forward Jeudi Stevenson scored an impressive goal and gifted a point to the team.

After this match, Marius Stankevičius' players hold the second position with 21 points, while the Marijampolė team sits in sixth place with 17 points.
