Portuguese national team and Al Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo drew attention with an unusual detail while preparing for the match against Norway.

In a photo shared by the 41-year-old forward on social media, fans noticed the black nail polish on the footballer's toenails.

It turned out that this is not a consequence of an injury – C. Ronaldo consciously paints them with black nail polish.

As reported by SPORTbible, the Portuguese seeks to additionally protect himself from bacteria and fungal infections this way.

The footballer trains intensively and spends a lot of time wearing football boots, in which accumulated moisture increases the risk of infections.
