The French national team has announced the selection of a new head coach.
No surprises occurred – the prestigious position was taken by Zinedine Zidane.
The renowned coach signed a contract with his home country's football federation that will last until the end of the 2030 World Cup.
"I have said it many times: there is nothing greater than the French national team.
Therefore, I take this position with immense joy and pride," said the 54-year-old specialist.
"This is also a tremendous responsibility. I want to thank the president of the French Football Federation, Philippe Diallo, the executive committee, and the entire French Football Federation for the trust placed in me. I also want to acknowledge Didier Deschamps and his coaching staff for their 14 years of work.
It goes without saying that I will pursue the highest goals with the French national team."
