UEFA reminded all 55 of its members – national football federations – not to schedule local championship or cup tournament matches during the weeks when European club tournament matches are taking place, reports "RMC Sport”.

In a message sent to federations, UEFA stated that national competition matches should not take place on the same days as the meetings of European tournaments organized by UEFA, except in exceptional cases.

UEFA emphasized that avoiding direct competition between matches would help protect the interests of both national championships and UEFA club tournaments.

This reminder was issued after three matches of the Spanish "La Liga” championship were played during the first week of the European League.
