Before the start of the English Premier League, Newcastle United must search for a new strategist.
On Thursday, information appeared that long-time strategist Eddie Howe is leaving the club.
After a not particularly successful last season, the club showed confidence in the 48-year-old specialist and he had already started preparing for the new season, but ultimately decided to step down.
It seems that the "Magpies" already have a main candidate who could take over the team's reins.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that the primary target for Newcastle is German Matthias Jaissle, who is currently working at Al-Ahli club.
It is added that negotiations with the 38-year-old specialist have already progressed.
In the past, Jaissle also coached the Salzburg team.
