Cameronian Football Federation president Samuel Eto'o is accused of improperly handling more than 500 thousand euros of federation funds.
The mentioned money was received after the Russian Football Union paid for international friendly matches between Russia and Cameroon, held in Moscow in October 2023.
Documents and contracts leaked to the publication "Times" indicate that two separate transfers, totaling 567,570 euros, were sent directly to S. Eto'o's personal bank account in Qatar, instead of to the federation's official accounts.
Opponents of S. Eto'o in Cameroon also claim that more than a year ago, official complaints regarding potential financial violations were submitted to FIFA's Ethics Committee, but no significant information regarding their review has been received to date.
