Barcelona lost 1–2 to Real Madrid in the El Clásico.

Catalan defender Pau Cubarsí did not hide his frustration with the schedule and the number of matches:

"I don’t want to use it as an excuse, but the schedule is demanding.

We have played a lot of matches and many minutes.

"It is natural to feel some fatigue, but we must not use that to justify the defeat.”

Barcelona are top of the table with 27 points.
