Another match of the 12th round of the TOP League was played in Raudondvaris. The Kaunas district team "Hegelmann," which established an early lead, maintained it until the end, thus defending their home fortress and defeating "Panevėžys" with a score of 3:2 (2:1).

The beginning of the match turned out to be very favorable for the home team. In the 6th minute, the blue and whites showed good home work, scoring from a corner, when Matijus Remeikis found himself at the tip of the attack. Donatas Kazlauskas and Carlos Duke also had their chances, but after they failed to score, "Hegelmann" launched another effective attack, with Kaders Njoya Abdelas scoring after a corner taken by Esmilio Kaušinis.

After playing for just over half an hour, the visitors reduced the deficit when Strahinja Kerkezas, having received the ball from deep, managed to pass it to Oleksandr Kurtsov, who was able to score right next to the goal.

At the start of the second half, Ernestas Veliulis raised the alarm, as his attempt from outside the penalty area was close to the goal, and a deflection added danger to the ball's trajectory. In the 57th minute, the home team restored their lead when V. Černiauskas defended against a set piece, where Wesley Gabriel's header had to be saved, and then Matijus Remeikis sent the rebounding ball into the net.

Intrigue was brought in during the stoppage time by Isaacas Asante, whose shot, aided by a deflection, reduced the score, but the guests lacked the time to search for an equalizer.

With their second victory in this TOP League season, "Hegelmann," with 12 points, chases the higher-placed "Panevėžys," which has 2 points more.
