The head coach of London’s Chelsea club, Xabi Alonso, commented on the rumors regarding the possible arrival of Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa:

"I am very satisfied with the goalkeepers I have.

Mike Penders looked great in the RC Strasbourg team.

Meanwhile, Robert Sanchez has gained experience after many years in the Premier League.”

26-year-old Diogo Costa has been playing for Porto since 2019 and has made 247 appearances.

He has also been the main goalkeeper for the Portugal national team for several years now.
