During the World Cup, football fans in the USA began to wonder why players of the Germany national team wear white jerseys.

According to the viewers, this is a strange decision, as this color does not appear in the flag of any European country.

However, football historians have a simple answer – it is the color of the flag of Prussia, which accordingly adopted the traditions of the Teutonic Order.

It was the knights who went on crusades adorned in white attire, decorated with a black cross.

At the end of the 19th century, when Prussia formed its first national football team, there was no debate about the color of the jerseys, which has been maintained to this day.
