2026 FIFA World Cup will be extraordinary not only due to the expanded format of 48 teams but also because of its unprecedented geography. For the first time in the tournament's history, the championship will take place in three countries – the United States, Mexico, and Canada. Over 39 days, football fans will be able to visit 16 host cities where 104 matches will be played.

Canada – a football festival in the north

In Canada, two cities will host the World Cup matches:

  • Toronto
  • Vancouver

Both cities are known for their modern infrastructure, multicultural atmosphere, and vibrant football community.

Mexico – a patch of World Cup history

Mexico will become the first country in history to host the World Cup for the third time. The matches will be held in:

  • Mexico City
  • Guadalajara
  • Monterrey

The tournament is set to start in Mexico at the legendary Azteca Stadium, where football legends like Pelé and Diego Maradona previously triumphed.

USA – the main stage of the championship

The majority of the matches will take place in the United States, where the tournament will be hosted by 11 cities:

  • Atlanta
  • Boston
  • Dallas
  • Houston
  • Kansas City
  • Los Angeles
  • Miami
  • New York / New Jersey region
  • Philadelphia
  • San Francisco Bay Area
  • Seattle

The final matches will take place in the USA – the World Cup winners will be determined at MetLife Stadium, located in the New York and New Jersey region.

The football journey across North America

From the Pacific coast to the Atlantic, from the cultural capitals of Mexico to the modern megacities of Canada – the 2026 World Cup will be the largest and geographically broadest tournament in FIFA history. Fans will have the opportunity not only to watch top-level football but also to discover three different countries, 16 unique cities, and their cultures.

In the summer of 2026, the center of world football will move to North America – from Toronto and Vancouver to Mexico City, Los Angeles, and New York. This will be a championship where football will unite the entire continent.
