Stunning 'Žalgiris' audit report: Vilma and Vladimir received one million euros in bonuses

At the conference held on Friday, the leaders of Vilnius "Zalgiris" presented the main news of the club to the media – changes in the shareholders' structure, plans for the summer transfer window, preparations for the UEFA Conference League matches, an agreement on European match broadcasts, and an operational audit.

The public was also presented with the findings of the club's operational audit for the years 2021–2025. The auditing company assessed whether the club's assets and finances were managed rationally, and whether the administration processes were appropriate and effective.

It was announced that the audit revealed past deficiencies in internal control and management, so legal experts, auditors, and shareholders will be consulted for additional clarifications and possible further actions.

The club also plans to implement the recommendations provided by the auditors to ensure that management processes are clearer, more transparent, and more efficient in the future.

Analyzing the "Zalgiris" reports revealed that the former club leader Vilma Venslovaitienė paid herself nearly half a million euros during the 2021-2025 period. The coach who became her favorite, Vladimir Cheburin, also did not go unpaid, receiving 552 thousand euros in bonuses.
