Atlético Madrid head coach Diego Simeone commented on the reasons behind the team’s 0–2 defeat to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League.

Speaking about the team’s tactical problems, the Argentine admitted:

"We needed to win more battles for second balls and be more active in the opponents’ half.

We had some decent spells of play before conceding the first goal.

It is very disappointing that, after putting in so much effort, we were unable to maintain control of the match.”
