In the "Serie A” championship’s Milan derby, Milan defeated the previously unbeaten Inter 3–1 at home.

Ruben Amorim’s men took a two-goal lead within the first ten minutes and later successfully withstood their opponents’ pressure to claim an important victory.

The match began at a frantic pace. In the 4th minute, following a pass from the right flank by Diego Moreira, Christian Pulisic headed the hosts into the lead—1–0.

Six minutes later, Milan doubled their advantage through Adrien Rabiot, who finished accurately after Diego Moreira’s corner.

After their poor start, Inter gradually took control of the match. In the 22nd minute, Alessandro Bastoni headed the ball into the net from a corner, reducing the deficit to 1–2.

The visitors continued to press their opponents, but Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan made several excellent saves to keep his team in front.

However, just before halftime, the hosts struck again. In the 43rd minute, Diego Moreira sent the ball over the opponents’ wall and into the net with an impressive free kick, increasing Milan’s lead to 3–1.

In the 74th minute, Inter had a chance to reduce the deficit when the referee awarded a penalty for suspected handball. However, after a VAR review, the decision was overturned because the ball had struck Mario Gila in the abdomen.

Milan defended successfully for the remainder of the match and claimed an important victory.
