Leeds United fought for an important victory in the battle for survival in the English Premier League.
On Monday night, Leeds managed to defeat Manchester United with a score of 2:1.
The guests started the match impressively, and in the early minutes, Manchester United's goalkeeper Senne Lammens saved the team from a shot by Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
However, Leeds scored their first goal in the 5th minute, marked by Noah Okafor.
The same Swiss player doubled the guests' advantage with a great shot in the 29th minute.
Right at the end of the first half, Leeds simply had to score a third goal, but a miracle on the goal line was created by Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez.
Martinez saw himself receive a red card in the 56th minute after a VAR review for pulling Dominic Calvert-Lewin's hair.
Interestingly, after being reduced to ten men, the home team seemed to gain a second wind, and in the 69th minute, Casemiro brought hope back to Old Trafford.
Later, Manchester United had a few more chances to equalize, but the guests held on and fought for a crucial victory in the battle for survival in the league.
