FIFA president Gianni Infantino, with more than a month to go until the World Cup, commented on ticket prices:
"If some people are reselling tickets to the final for two million dollars, first, that doesn't mean that the tickets actually cost that much.
Secondly, that doesn’t mean that someone will buy those tickets.
And if someone does buy a ticket to the final, I will personally bring them a sandwich and a drink so that they can have a great experience.”
"We have to look at the market – we are in a market where the entertainment industry is the most developed in the world.
Therefore, we have to apply market prices. In the USA, reselling tickets is also allowed.
So, if you sell tickets for too low a price, those tickets will be resold at a much higher price.”
Recently, more and more fans are voicing complaints about ticket prices.
The World Cup will take place from June 11 to July 19.
