The FIFA organization leaders are triumphant.

"The Guardian" reports that football officials who worked tirelessly during the World Cup collected as much as 15 billion US dollars in revenue.

This is 4 billion more than initially planned.

The unexpected revenue growth was driven by exceptionally high primary ticket sales and a lucrative resale market, where FIFA earned a 15 percent commission from both the buyer and the seller.

VIP packages to the arenas also significantly boosted FIFA's coffers.
