"Manchester United" continues to struggle in the English Premier League at the start of the season.
"The Red Devils" lost 0:1 at home to Manchester City on Sunday and have only four points after four rounds.
The only goal of the match was scored by Erling Haaland in the 60th minute; however, it was later acknowledged that the Norwegian's goal should have been disallowed due to Enzo Fernandez's offside.
This situation was also discussed by United's strategist Michael Carrick at the press conference.
"I cannot understand how one can say that Enzo Fernandez did not participate in the game and did not have an impact. It's very strange that everything was interpreted that way.
I just couldn't understand such a decision, and when the referee explained it to me, the situation got even worse.
I don't quite understand where the line is when a player is already participating in the game. I am somewhat worried that referees have such an understanding of football. Before each season, we discuss the rules and their interpretations with the referees, but in the end, you see everything yourselves," said M. Carrick.
According to the Englishman, until E. Haaland's goal, Manchester United was the better team on the field.
"Before Haaland's goal, we were the better team. We have a good team and will get back on the path to victories.
I cannot be very critical of the players. We just did not find our game," added the Manchester United strategist.
