"The Barcelona team does not intend to calm down."
The Catalan squad is once again outraged by the officiating in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal match against Atletico Madrid and has officially submitted a complaint to UEFA.
"The club believes that several refereeing decisions during both matches did not align with the rules of the game, and the use of the VAR system in crucial situations was insufficient.
The cumulative effect of these errors had a direct impact on the flow of the matches and the final outcome, causing significant sporting and financial damage to the club."
With the current complaint, the club reiterates its previous requests submitted to UEFA and at the same time offers to cooperate with the organization to improve the officiating system to ensure a stricter, fairer, and more transparent application of the rules of the game," wrote Barca.
A similar complaint was submitted by the Catalans after the first match of the series, but UEFA crumpled the paper and threw it in the trash.
