A major incident occurred in Lithuania’s second-tier football league.
After the match between Alytus "Dainava” and "Kauno Žalgiris,” the home side’s loyal supporters, "Dzūkų Tankai,” chased visiting goalkeeper Joris Aliukonis.
After the final whistle, Aliukonis ran towards the "Dzūkų Tankai” stand in celebration and began provoking the supporters—shouting in their direction and making gestures with his fingers.
The "Dzūkų Tankai” supporters ran out of the stand and caught up with the player, who was struck several times before reaching the dressing room.
"Kauno Žalgiris” reserves secured an important 1–0 victory.
