The board of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) unanimously approved the extension of the contract of national team head coach Luis de la Fuente.

The new contract with the specialist will be valid until 2032.

RFEF president Rafael Luzán emphasized that the new agreement is part of a long-term project.

Luis de la Fuente will lead the Spanish national team through the upcoming major international tournaments.

The 2030 World Cup will be jointly hosted by Spain, Portugal, and Morocco, and to celebrate the centenary of the tournament, additional matches are also planned to be held in Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay.

Luis de la Fuente became the head coach of the Spanish men's national team at the beginning of 2023.

Since then, his team has triumphed in the UEFA Nations League, the 2024 European Championship, and the 2026 World Cup.
