M. Carrick: 'I take responsibility for this defeat'

"Manchester United" is sinking into an even deeper pit.

On Wednesday, the "Red Devils" exited the English League Cup, losing 2:3 at home to Brighton, despite leading 2:0 at the start of the first half.

After yet another painful defeat, "Man Utd" manager Michael Carrick took responsibility.

"This is unacceptable. I take responsibility for this defeat. The way we played at the end of the game is my fault.

I am responsible for the whole team. When we win, people say I did a good job, but when the results are not there, I take the first responsibility as well.

I fully understand that and do not shy away from responsibility," said M. Carrick.
