"Manchester United" has almost secured a place in next season's UEFA Champions League.
"The Red Devils" would need nothing short of a miracle to lose at least fifth place over the remaining four matches of the Premier League season.
Still, Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount is confident that his team can compete for the Premier League trophy next season.
"I already have a Champions League trophy in my collection, so now I want to win the Premier League. Can we do that next season? Yes, I think we can.
It may seem like an impossible task from the outside, but within the team, we must have that mindset and strive to move forward.
This season, we have already shown that we can play against teams like Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, or Arsenal. Now we need to show ourselves on a bigger stage in the Champions League, and in the Premier League, we must gain stability," said Mount in an interview with BBC.
The 27-year-old Englishman has again faced injuries this season and has played only 20 matches in the Premier League, starting in the lineup just 10 times. Nevertheless, Mount remains confident in his abilities.
"I always trust myself and know what I can bring to the team.
I love being part of such a huge club. I've been here for three seasons now, and everything is really going smoothly.
Now I have more experience, and next season we have even more important matches ahead. It is an honor for me to be part of what has helped this club return to higher positions," Mount elaborated.
