"Kaunas Žalgiris” will face off against the team "Klaksvik” on Tuesday in the first matches of the second UEFA Champions League qualifying round.

The Lithuanian champions learned on Monday who their potential opponents will be in the next stage of the UEFA Champions League or the Europa League.

If the players from Kaunas overcome "Klaksvik,” they will face the winners of the pair from Switzerland "Thun” and Croatia "GNK Dinamo” in the third Champions League qualifying round.

However, if the barrier posed by the Faroe Islands team is too high, then "Kaunas Žalgiris” will play in the third UEFA Europa League qualifying round, where they would face the losers of the pair from Poznań "Lech” (Poland) and "Aarhus” (Denmark).

We remind you that reaching the third qualifying round of the Champions League would guarantee "Kaunas Žalgiris” at least a place in the main stage of the UEFA Europa Conference League.
