Real Madrid winger Yan Diomande hopes he has silenced his critics, at least for a while.

In Sunday’s La Liga match, the African scored the royal club’s final goal to seal a resounding 4–1 home victory over Sevilla.

After the ball hit the back of the net, Diomande ran toward the television cameras and performed NBA star LeBron James’ famous "Silencer” celebration.

The gesture is performed by pointing both hands downward, lifting the knees high and pounding the chest.

According to the media, it is a symbolic way of silencing hostile fans and critics who doubt his abilities.
