M. Carrick: "We can have a very successful season”

Manchester United continue to struggle in the English Premier League.

The Red Devils drew 1–1 with Leeds United on Sunday and have collected just seven points from seven matches.

After yet another draw, Man Utd manager Michael Carrick admitted that the situation was unsatisfactory, although he said he could see positive signs.

"We are not saying that everything is fine, but sometimes you have to go through periods like this to achieve something. I understand how it all looks from the outside, but I believe we can build some positive momentum.

We have to find a way out of this situation. We are capable of winning matches.

I do not want to compare our current situation with anything similar in the past, but I feel that we are getting better and better. I still believe that we can have a very successful season.

Today’s match felt like a fresh start. I felt that the players’ commitment was completely different. I knew it would be because I saw how the players worked in the latest training sessions,” Carrick said.
