Miami's Inter and Argentina national team midfielder Rodrigo De Paul openly talked about the dark side of a footballer's life.
According to him, fans only see players' performances on the field or like to count the money they earn, but they completely disregard the struggles that athletes experience.
"I lost my youth.
I have free time, but I don't have a social life.
I go to training, and after that, I'm left alone. I hardly see my family because they live abroad.
I know I'm privileged, but sometimes it feels like I'm living in a golden cage," complained 32-year-old R. De Paul.
