"Kaunas Žalgiris" had an unsuccessful start to the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League.

The Lithuanian champions suffered a 0:5 defeat away against Zagreb "Dinamo".

In the 31st minute, the hosts took the lead through Miha Zajc, and soon after, "Dinamo" doubled their advantage with a goal from Scott McKenna.

The second half saw little change on the pitch, and in the 51st minute, Mateo Lisica scored with a fantastic shot.

In the 76th minute, the Lithuanian champions' thrashing continued with a goal from Luka Stojković, and during the referee's added time, it was completed by Luka Kacavenda.
