Champions' Confidence: 'Kauno Žalgiris' left no chances for 'Riteriai'

The second round started in the Temporary Capital, where in the 10th round of the TOP LEAGUE, the leading and last place clubs faced off. “Kaunas Žalgiris” easily handled Vilnius “Riteriai“, defeating them with a score of 4:0 (2:0).

The first goal came very early. In the 3rd minute, Damjan Pavlović found Amine Benchaib, who had plenty of space and sent the ball into the far corner of the goal. At the end of the first half, Gratas Sirgedas scored with a shot from outside the penalty area, doubling the score, assisted by Leo Ribeiro.

At the end of the match, two more goals fell into the net defended by Simone Moschino: in the 86th minute, the ball was sent into the net by L. Ribeiro, who had performed a previous assist; the Brazilian managed to do this while already on the ground, and with the final whistle of the referee, Anton Tolordava helped to seal the outcome after a corner kick.

After stumbling in the previous round, “Kaunas Žalgiris” bounced back and added their 25th point to their tally, while “Riteriai” have 3 points and sit in 10th place in the league table.
