The Madrid "Real" team had a victorious start to the UEFA Champions League season.

Jose Mourinho's team defeated the Milan "Inter" club 2:1 at home.

At the beginning of the match, the visitors looked more dangerous – Thibaut Courtois had to save his team after a dangerous shot from Marcus Thuram.

In the 14th minute, the hosts took the lead. After a mistake by "Inter" defender Yann Bisseck, Brahim Diaz passed the ball to Kylian Mbappe, and the Frenchman scored the first goal for the Madrid team with an accurate shot past Josep Martinez.

In the 23rd minute, "Real" doubled their advantage. "Inter" goalkeeper made an error, and Federico Valverde took advantage of it – the Uruguayan sent the ball into the empty net.

After the break, "Inter" did not give up and started to threaten the "Real" goal more often. In the 77th minute, the Italians reduced the deficit: Lautaro Martinez made a pass into the penalty area, and Carlos Augusto accurately finished off the attack, bringing back the intrigue.

In the remaining time, "Inter" tried to save themselves, but "Real" maintained a minimal advantage.
