FIFA confirmed how much each country received from the prize pool.

The most money, of course, went to the Spanish Football Federation, which received £38.1 million.

Argentina received £25.1 million for second place.

England, which took third place, received £22.4 million. That's a difference of £1.5 million from France, which came in fourth.

The teams that reached the quarter-finals received £14.9 million, while those that participated in the round of 16 received £12 million each.

Teams that ended their journey in the round of 32 received £9 million each, while teams that finished the tournament in the group stage pocketed £7.5 million.
