Three Lithuanians' step towards the Champions League: 'Celje' achieved a good result in Bratislava

"Celje" with three Lithuanians in its squad took the first step towards the Champions League.

In the first match of the series, "Celje" played away to a 1:1 draw against Bratislava's "Slovan" team.

In the 15th minute, Robertas Čerepkai scored.

In the 41st minute, "Celje" responded. A wonderful run was made by Milotas Avdyli, whose shot was too precise for the opposing goalkeeper.

There were no more goals for the remainder of the time, so the Slovenian champions returned to their country with a truly positive result. This is the last qualifying stage before the Champions League.

All three Lithuanians in this match, Artemijus Tutyškinas, Pijus Širvys, and Armandas Kučys, started in the starting eleven.
