The Žalgiris women's team secured their first victory in the Vilnius derby.

The FK "Žalgiris" women's team won the Vilnius derby against MFA "Žalgiris-MRU" for the first time in the Women's A League. The Žalgiris players triumphed with a score of 2:1.

The first two encounters of the season between the teams ended in draws. On May 3, the result recorded at the FK "Žalgiris" stadium was 2:2, and on June 25, at the Lithuanian Sports Center stadium, the teams played to a 1:1 draw.

For the first time, Marta Lipnicka started in the lineup for the FK "Žalgiris" A League match, while Austėja Pocevičiūtė returned to the starting eleven.

In the 12th minute, Lolita Ziziūtė took a free kick from the left, but the ball went over the crossbar. Six minutes later, at the other end of the field, Bunmi David struck, but her shot was weak, and Aušrinė Bikutė caught the ball.

In the 25th minute, Irina Topal tried her luck from afar, but goalkeeper Darija Mikuckytė saved the ball. Following this episode, a corner was awarded, and the Žalgiris players extended their attack. After a pass from I. Topal, Alina Shpakovskaya put the team ahead in the 26th minute. This was her first goal in the Women's A League.

In the 29th minute, Ugnė Lazdauskaitė sent the ball over the crossbar with a shot from about 16 meters. Just before halftime, Valeriia Postol passed the ball from the flank into the penalty area, but Kiran Singh shot inaccurately from close range.

In the 52nd minute, the opponents had a good chance, but luckily, after Ana Cheminava's shot, A. Bikutė caught the ball. A couple of minutes later, Irina Topal was very close to scoring, but her shot hit the post.

In the 57th minute, the Žalgiris players doubled their lead. I. Topal made a cross from the flank, and A. Pocevičiūtė, who was in the middle of the penalty area, sent the ball into the net with a one-touch shot – 2:0.

In the 65th minute, the home team narrowed the score – Alexandria Madden accurately shot from the right flank. Eight minutes later, U. Lazdauskaitė made a dangerous shot, but the ball went past the goal.

During the remaining time, the score did not change, and FK "Žalgiris" secured their first victory in the Vilnius derby – 2:1.
