Legendary Colombian national team footballer Rene Higuita defended his countryman James Rodríguez from criticism:

„J. Rodríguez is the main player for the Colombians.

He doesn't need to demonstrate his abilities for us to know what he can provide.

Knowing him, the midfielder is being criticized for not getting many minutes in his team.“

„Before the World Cup, I have a lot of faith in my country's national team.“

34-year-old James Rodríguez has been a player for "Minnesota United" since February 6th.

He has played three matches with the new club.
