A significant loss occurred in the German national team before the World Championship.

Lennart Karl suffered an injury during training and cannot help his team in the World Championships. He tore a muscle in his leg.

The Bayern forward said goodbye to his teammates this morning and left for treatment, while the situation was commented on by the President of the German Football Federation, Bernd Neuendorf.

"Julian said a few words, the whole team was present. Lennart had something to say as well, although it was difficult. He was very troubled, perhaps even shed a few tears," said the head of German football.
