In the "TOPsport A League," "Kauno Žalgiris" has risen to the top position in the tournament table, at least temporarily. In the 11th round, the team from Kaunas won 1:0 (0:0) against "Džiugas" from Telšiai after a fierce battle.

At the start of the match, Romualdas Jansonas and Danielis Nosegbe Suško exchanged opportunities, but neither managed to hit the target. In the 32nd minute, Simonas Urbys had a good chance but failed to capitalize on it.

After the break, the guests took the initiative – in the 51st minute, Amine's Benchaibas had a chance, but Marius Paukštė made an excellent save. Twenty-one minutes later, D. Nosegbe Suško made a mistake in his own half, which allowed A. Benchaibas to deliver a timely pass, resulting in R. Jansonas scoring.

"Džiugas" conceded a goal and became more active; at the end of the match, Hirotaka Yamada had a great opportunity to equalize, but Tomas Svedauskas saved the team. "Kauno Žalgiris" could have strengthened their lead – Dejano Georgijevičiaus' attempt was blocked by M. Paukštė.
