Battle of Žalgiris: M. Kalnietis' marathon gifts for fans, entertainment, and discounts at the stadium

On May 31, the most anticipated match of the first half of the season's TOP LEAGUE will take place at the Kaunas Darius and Girėnas Stadium between "Kaunas Žalgiris" and Vilnius "Žalgiris".

In the match referred to as the "Žalgiris battle", a huge turnout is expected, and the president of the Lithuanian champions club, Mantas Kalnietis, hopes it will be a record day in the Lithuanian championship.

"We are expecting an extraordinary spectacle – the "Žalgiris" battle. I believe this will be one of the biggest matches in TOP LEAGUE history, where we will break this season's attendance record," the club leader addressed the fans.

The fans of the "Kaunas Žalgiris" football club will also receive gifts, which Kalnietis promised even before his marathon run. After achieving the goals set in the marathon, the amount collected from partner funds was specifically allocated for stadium visitors.

The first 500 spectators arriving at the Darius and Girėnas Stadium will receive "Kaunas Žalgiris" caps with a player’s autograph. Doors to the stadium open at 12:00 PM.

An additional 500 caps will be distributed at the next home matches in June.

"This initiative was born after our recently completed project, during which I ran a marathon. The additional revenue collected with partners turned into gifts for the green and whites fans and a memory of what we believe will be historic matches," Kalnietis hoped.

Football fans at the Darius and Girėnas Stadium can also look forward to an even larger entertainment zone, partner prizes and gifts, warm food, snacks, and drinks.

Discounts of up to 50% will be valid for merchandise at "Žalgiris Shop" retail outlets, and during the halftime, one lucky winner will receive a prize sponsored by "Krinona" – an electric scooter from "Žalgiris".

Additionally, with the match ticket, public transport in the city of Kaunas will be free for three hours before and after the match. After the match, additional buses will be waiting at the Sporto g. stops, making it convenient to get closer to the "Žalgiris" arena, where the third LKL semifinal match will start at 16:50.

When purchasing a ticket for the football match, fans will receive a free ticket to the aforementioned LKL semifinal between Kaunas "Žalgiris" and Panevėžys "Lietkabelis." To receive it, when buying the football ticket, a package must be selected here.
