“Barcelona“ team’s hopes of acquiring Madrid „Atletico“ forward Julián Álvarez are fading.

According to the Spanish press, the Catalan club is already forced to look for backup options in the player market.

The first candidate to strengthen “Barca“’s attacking line is identified as “Villarreal“ representative Georges Mikautadze.

However, the 25-year-old Georgian may be too expensive for “Barca“ – he costs about 70 million euros.

An alternative option is another “Villarreal“ player Ayoze Pérez, whom the Catalans could purchase for just 10–15 million euros.
