In the first half, both teams played quite cautiously, but "Arsenal" created more chances. In the 45th minute, Bukayo Saka had a great opportunity to put the guests ahead when he found himself one-on-one with "Napoli" goalkeeper Alex Meret. However, the Englishman shot wide.

In the second half, "Arsenal" took the initiative and pressed the hosts more frequently. In the 50th minute, Ben White made a pass towards the goal, but Piero Hincapie, shooting from close range, failed to find the net.

In the 75th minute, the active play of the London team paid off. After a combination between B. White and C. Tzolis, the ball was passed to M. Ødegaard, who powered a shot from about 16 meters that hit the left post and the ball went into the net – 1:0.

"Napoli" tried to find a way back, but "Arsenal" maintained their lead. The Italian club failed to create any truly dangerous chances – the London team calmly finished the match and took home three points.
