"Andorra” goalkeeper Jesús Owono is still awaiting a decision on his punishment for the red card he received in a "La Liga 2” match against "Tenerife.”
The Disciplinary Committee decided to postpone its final decision.
The goalkeeper was sent off after a dangerous collision with "Tenerife” footballer Jesús de Miguel.
The latter suffered a serious injury during the incident and later died.
Owono faces a eight- to twelve-match suspension for the incident.
As reported by Spanish daily "Diario AS,” the Disciplinary Committee explained that the match was officially concluded only on Wednesday, after the referee made the appropriate decision.
For this reason, all disciplinary matters related to the match will be considered at a later date.
The referee’s report states that, while contesting the ball, Owono struck the opponent too forcefully with his raised leg and used excessive force.
