The football world was shaken by the announcement of a famous person's death.
This morning, 66-year-old Italian football legend Franco Baresi passed away.
Throughout his impressive 20-year professional career, the defender spent all his time at "AC Milan" club.
He also played 81 matches for the Italian national team and fought for the World Champion title in 1982.
In honoring the player, the "Milan" club prohibited other footballers from wearing shirts marked with the number 6.
"His example and principles will forever be written into the club's DNA.
During this extremely difficult time, "Milan" expresses its sincere condolences to the F. Baresi family.
This pain is felt as one's own by every member of the "rossoneri" community,” it is stated in the "Milan" announcement.
