After a dramatic victory (2:1) in the World Cup semifinal against England, Argentina's midfielder Enzo Fernández recalled the country's football legend Diego Maradona.

“I am sure he is very happy in heaven right now.

Today Diego supported us and was with us,“ – said the player who scored one goal.

According to E. Fernández, before the match, he and his teammate Julián Alvarez watched the recording of the historic match against England.

“It is moments like these that differentiate Argentinians and shine throughout football history.

It gave us a lot of additional motivation,“ – said E. Fernández.
