On Tuesday evening, the historic victory in the UEFA Champions League was fought for by the Baku "Sabah" team, coached by Lithuanian football specialist Valdas Dambrauskas.

The Azerbaijani club defeated Prague's "Slavia" players 2:0 (0:0) at home and recorded their first victory in the main stage of the prestigious tournament.

In the first half, neither team managed to score; however, after the break, the hosts quickly broke through the opponents' defense.

In the 49th minute, "Sabah" took the lead thanks to Kaheem Parrish, who sent the ball into the net after a pass from Ivan Lepinjica.

After gaining the advantage, Valdas Dambrauskas' charges did not stop and later scored a second goal.

After an unsuccessful moment from "Slavia" goalkeeper Jakub Marković, Joy-Lance Mickels sent the ball into the net.

After two rounds, "Sabah" has three points in their account.

The nearest challenge for the Azerbaijani team will be on October 20, when they host Borussia Dortmund at home.
