The England national team has once again missed out on the World Cup final.

On Wednesday, the English team led 1-0 against Argentina in the semi-final match, but ultimately conceded two late goals and will have to settle for the third place battle.

Once again, after the match, England's strategist Thomas Tuchel received a lot of criticism for making defense-oriented substitutions after scoring the goal, but ultimately that plan did not pan out.

The German himself stated after the match that it is very easy to criticize his decisions after the game, but he does not regret them.

"It’s easy to say after a loss that my decisions were bad. We played one of our best, if not the best, matches. We have nothing to regret.

After losses, there are always millions of 'coaches' who think they understand everything better. The problem was not in the structure of the game. The match just changed drastically at the end. I make the decisions."

I have nothing to regret. We played one of our best matches,” said T. Tuchel.

Although the German faced a lot of criticism after the match from former England players, the strategist is ready to continue his work.

"We will continue our work since my contract is valid until the end of the next European Championship. I am really looking forward to this tournament, even though it is indeed difficult to think about it at the moment,” stated the England team coach.

T. Tuchel also hinted at the upcoming match for third place against France.

"Both our players and the French players do not want to play in this match. In the World Cup, everyone thinks only about the title, but it is what it is. We have one day less to recover, but we will look at everything professionally. This match will be a great opportunity to show the right reaction,” added the German.
