Šiauliai drew with Hegelmann

In the Raudondvaris stadium, the postponed match of the 22nd round of the TOP League took place between the local Hegelmann and FA Šiauliai teams. In the first half of the match, both teams scored a goal, ending the match with a draw score of 1:1 (1:1).

The match for the home team started dramatically – Esmilis Kaušinis suffered an injury, and in the 10th minute, the penalty awarded to Hegelmann was converted by Šiauliai's legionnaire Rui Batalha.

The lead established by Šiauliai did not last long. During a set-piece, the ball was sent close into the net by Samuel Oum Goueta, scoring his first goal of the season.

As the half came to an end, Kadera Njoya Abdel had the opportunity to put the Kaunas district team ahead, but his shot was successfully saved by goalkeeper Paulius Linkevičius.

Once again after the break, Mantas Kuklys' team organized a dangerous counterattack. Chidera Henry Nwoga received the ball in the penalty area and shot from outside the box, but his attempt was blocked by Rokas Bagdonavičius. Soon after, at the other end of the field, P. Linkevičius played insecurely, requiring Marko Mandičius to clear the ball off the goal line.

At the very end of the match, the guests from the Sun City were spectacularly saved by the best player of the match, goalkeeper P. Linkevičius, following a powerful shot from N. A. Kader.

FA Šiauliai remains in ninth place with 12 points, while the blue-whites have one more point and are one step higher in the league table.
