The Democratic Republic of Congo reached the World Cup knockout stage for the first time in its history.

In a decisive match, the DRC defeated the Uzbekistan national team 3:1.

The first goal was scored by the Uzbeks, with Eldor Shomurodov finding the net.

Yoane Wissa's "double" and one goal from Fiston Mayele secured the DRC's victory and a ticket to the knockout stage.
