The president of the Spanish football federation, Rafael Louzan, confirmed reports that he is negotiating with the national team's head coach Luis de la Fuente.

During an interview with RNE journalist, the Spaniard revealed that he is trying to keep the national team's winning strategist for as long as possible.

"I believe that Luis de la Fuente deserves it and we will continue the negotiations.

We want to tie the future to the strategist at least until the 2030 World Cup or even longer," said Rafael Louzan.

Currently, the world champion's contract with the Spaniards is valid until mid-2028.
